A truck driver managed to leap over a very dangerous situation unscathed after crashing his truck and sparking a fire. 

The crash happened near Akron, Ohio on Sunday, March 16th on northbound Interstate 77. 

According to 12 News, the driver initially hit the median of the interstate, but soon pulled over to the shoulder. The truck then caught fire. 

“The impact also caused a rupture of the passenger side fuel tank which also ignited, the fuel that is,” Lt. Robert Langston with the fire department said. “It caused the fire to spread beyond the area of the truck itself. 

The truck driver was then caught on video throwing open the truck door, considering his options, and doing his best to leap over the flames surrounding his cab. The trucker’s jump falls short, and the man then appears to just run straight through the flames before jogging to the rear of his trailer to regroup. 

“The driver did escape without injury,” Langston said.
