Firefighters in Virginia say that a multi-vehicle crash was caused by a tractor trailer that lost its load of metal rolls.

The crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, in Bedford, Virginia.

The Bedford Fire Department (BFD) responded to the intersection of Shiloh Church and 460 for a reported crash.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered that “thousands of pounds of rolls of metal had come off the trailer and hit multiple vehicles in the intersection.”

Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported.
