A man who was mowing alongside Interstate 69 is in critical condition after his mower was struck by a semi truck on Tuesday. 

The accident happened on July 18th in DeKalb County, Indiana at the 332 mile marker on I-69. 

According to 13 WTHR News, the tractor trailer crashed into a mowing tractor contracted by the Indiana Department of Transportation. 

The man mowing was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The truck driver was also taken to a hospital for evaluation and a routine blood draw, which is required by indiana state law in crashes with a serious injury or fatality. 

The incident is still under criminal investigation and no charges have been issued, but police believe that the truck driver was impaired at the time of the crash, reported 21 Alive News.
