A semi truck crash was caught on surveillance video early Tuesday morning in Houston, Texas.

The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. on March 4 on the Hardy Toll Road at Aldine Mail Route in Houston, Texas.

In the video captured by surveillance video at local business Houston Powder Coaters, you can see a truck hauling a trailer crashing into a concrete barrier on the Hardy Toll Road. The crash sends up a spray of sparks as the truck goes up and over the barrier before coming to a stop.

“Upon arrival, crews found a commercial vehicle with major damage spanning both southbound and northbound lanes, with diesel fuel spilled across the roadway. Fortunately, the driver sustained only minor injuries. However, this incident is a critical reminder that speed and rain do not mix. Wet roads reduce traction, increase stopping distance, and heighten the risk of losing control. Slow down, drive cautiously, and arrive safely,” said Harris County ESD 17 Little York Fire.
