A motorist recently filmed a shipping container getting knocked neatly off of a tractor trailer trying to squeeze underneath a railroad bridge.
The video was filmed on Southfield Road near Interstate 75 in Detroit, Michigan just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11th, reported 7 ABC.
In the video, the truck driver heads underneath the railroad bridge, causing the top of the shipping contained to hit the bridge. A bit of the container appears to get peeled off by the bridge before the container is eventually slid right off the back of the trailer. The container then lands in the roadway, and even appears to be neatly centered in a lane.
The Michigan Department of Transportation has since sent a maintenance engineer to inspect the bridge, which was deemed safe to use. A bridge specialist and a railroad inspector are also scheduled to inspect the bridge out of an abundance of caution.
