Semi trucks are getting their GPS devices stolen in certain parts of Chicago for the last month, police say. 

The thefts started last month, with the most recent robbery occurring on Sunday, March 16th. The incidents occurred in the Gage Park, West Lawn, and Armour Square neighborhoods in the South and Southwest sides of Chicago, Illinois

According to CBS, in Sunday’s incident, three men broke open the rear window on the semi truck cab and entered the rig. They then disconnected the CPU/GPS device and took off with it on foot. 

The reported semi truck GPS thefts happened in the 5900 block of South Pulaski Road on February  7th at around around 3:19 a.m. in West Lawn  in the 400 block of West 25th Place, and in the 5000 block of South Homan Avenue on March 16th at 3 a.m. in Gage Park.

Semi truck GPS thefts in Armour Square happened between the dates of March 15th and 16th, between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.; in the 2500 block of Canal Street on March 15th between 6 and 11:59 p.m.; in the 400 block of West 25th Place on March 16, between 1 and 3 a.m.; in the 400 block of West 25th Place on March 16, between 1 and 3 a.m.
