Video telematics provider Netradyne announced that thousands of Knight-Swift trucks will be outfitted with new dash cam and safety technology as part of a partnership between the two companies.
On April 3, San Diego-headquartered Netradyne announced an agreement with Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. to provide 15,500 Knight and Swift trucks with Driver•i D-450 and D-215 fleet safety dash cameras.
The Driver•i D-450 is a four-camera video telematics device that provides a 270-degree view through a road-facing camera and two side cameras. The D-215 offers a default road-facing view as well as optional driver-facing capabilities.
Companies say that the dash cam systems will be installed “in the back half of 2025.”
Netadyne says that the dash cams will analyze “100% of driving time” and provide “real-time, in-cab audio alerts, empowering drivers with self-coaching, accident warnings, and immediate guidance for safer decisions.”
The dash cam system also provides a driver score called a GreenZone Score that “calculates an accurate reflection of what’s happening in the field of a driver.”
“At Knight Transportation and Swift Transportation, safety is a foundational value and pre-requisite for the transportation services we provide. Phoenix, Arizona-headquartered Knight-Swift’s fleet includes “roughly 19,000 tractors,” according to the company website.
