Officers Nebraska are warning drivers to “get off your cell phones” after a crash between two semi trucks ripped open a trailer.
The accident happened on Sunday, April 6th at about 2:45 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 80 near mile marker 353 in York, Nebraska.
According to News Channel Nebraska, a tractor trailer was traveling in the left lane of I-80 when it side swiped a tractor trailer hauling meat and cheese in the right lane. The collision ripped open the trailer of the rig in the right lane, causing meat and cheese to spill along the roadway.

The incident shut down the eastbound side of I-80 from York was shut down for cleanup and investigation of the incident. No further details about the incident or potential charges have been released.
“USE CAUTION, be PATIENT, and get off your cell phones,” York County Sheriff’s Office warned drivers after the accident.
