This truck driver still isn’t planning to hang it up after more than three decades and three million miles behind the wheel of a semi truck.

In this brief interview clip, the driver, Jim, divulges some information that definitely wouldn’t fly in today’s trucking industry – he’s been driving since he was 14 years old.

“My dad had a trucking company. I started driving over the road when I was 14,” he told the interviewer.

When asked if he’s gonna retire, Jim says only “I should. I’m 77 years old” but doens’t seem convinced he’ll ever make the leap.

The interviewer then goes on to ask about the semi truck behind him – a 1999 Peterbilt. Jim says he bought the truck brand new with 28 miles on it, and has put more than 3.5 million miles on it since. He says the Caterpillar engine has had 3 overhauls, but it’s the “same motor ever since I bought it.”

If you’ve been looking for a peek at a real Old School driver, this is it. Watch the endearing interview below.
