Canadian police recently stopped a pickup driver hauling a large load of pallets for numerous safety violations.

According to a May 8 statement from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) – West Region, a traffic stop was conducted on the pickup in Alma by the OPP’s Wellington division.

Charges issued during the traffic stop include:

  • Overweight vehicle – violate permit … kg
  • Improper means of attachment – commercial motor vehicle
  • Operate vehicle – fail to display inspection sticker or proof
  • Operate commercial motor vehicle – no valid CVOR certificate
  • Operate vehicle – fail to display inspection sticker or proof
  • Fail to surrender inspection schedule
  • Fail to surrender completed daily inspection report
  • Draw trailer, no identification number
  • Fail to surrender permit for trailer

“If you spot an unsafe motor vehicle – give us a call,” OPP said.
