MHC Kenworth is planning a massive shop and showroom that will soon be constructed right next to the Springfield Buc-ee’s in Missouri. 

According to plans filed with the city of Springfield, Missouri, a 70,000 square foot  “trucking sales and service facility” will be built at 5500 E. Farm Road 104, just over a half mile from the Buc-ee’s at 3284 Beaver Road. 

The plans for the MHC Kenworth facility will be built on a 28 acre plot purchased for $11,300 in October 2023. The plans are currently under review by city officials and are pending completion of permits. 

The company expects to begin construction in June of this year, with an estimated completion date of August 2026, reported The Springfield Daily Citizen. The Springfield Buc-ee’s opened in late 2023, and already sits across the highway from a Peterbilt dealer and multiple trucking companies.
