No one was seriously hurt after a sedan crashed into the side of a tractor trailer and knocked off a semi truck axle.

The accident happened on Wednesday, May 28th on southbound Interstate 5 near Seattle, Washington.

According to KIRO 7, a sedan hit a southbound day cab flatbed semi truck while attempting to change lanes on I-5 north of Northgate at 85th. The force of the impact knocked off a semi truck axle, causing the big rig to swerve across the highway, through barriers, and into northbound traffic.

The Washington State Patrol says that it is a ‘miracle’ that no one was severely injured, and that no vehicles collided on the northbound side of I-5.

Two adults and two children in the sedan sustained minor injuries, but no other injuries were reported. No further information has been released.
