The Texarkana Texas Police Department (TPD) arrested a truck driver late Wednesday following a crash that left a large number of people without power.
At 11:30 p.m. on June 11, police responded to a crash at New Boston Road and Taylor Street in Texarkana.

“The truck left the road, took out a major electrical transmission pole, and knocked out power to about a third of the city for a bit. It was also carrying a full load of lumber — which ended up all over the roadway,” TPD said.

No injuries were reported.
Police arrested 39 year old truck driver Fredrick Beal on charges of DWI (Open Container) and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.
