The Washington State Patrol (WSP) released results from a recent traffic enforcement effort targeting drivers with unsecured loads in Snohomish County.

According to a June 18 statement from WSP’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau, troopers teamed up for a two-hour unsecured load emphasis patrol in Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, and Arlington.

During the two-hour effort, WSP achieved the following results:

  • 27 traffic stops
  • 7 unsecured load contacts
  • 4 criminal violations
  • 3 overweight vehicles
  • 2 drivers without required CDL

WSP provided an image from the enforcement effort of a dump truck stopped for not maintaining the required 6″ of freeboard.
