Two people were pinned inside of two separate vehicles after a crash that sent one vehicle underneath a tractor trailer in New Mexico on Sunday.
The crash happened just after 8 a.m. on July 20th, 2025 near Albuquerque, New Mexico.
According to Albuquerque Fire Rescue, the cause of the crash has not been determined, but firefighters arrived to find a vehicle on fire and pinned beneath a semi truck. One person was pinned inside and was extricated in 12 minutes as crews worked to extinguish the fire. That person sustained potentially life threatening injuries.
A third vehicle was also involved in the crash and came to a stop 50 years away from the other crash site. A person also had to be extricated from that vehicle with serious, but not life threatening injuries. It is unclear if the truck driver was injured, but no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the wreck has not been determined. No further information has been released.
