The truck driver who was shot while driving on a Lathrop, California, interstate has been identified as Ilkhom Shodiev.
Unfortunately, Amazon has confirmed that Shodiev passed away in a hospital as a result of injuries sustained when he was shot on Thursday.
The shooter is still at large as of Friday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is asking for help from the public in investigating an interstate shooting that led to a semi truck vs. structure crash in San Joaquin County on Thursday.
CHP began receiving calls about the incident shortly before 1 p.m. on June 15.

Callers told police that a semi truck traveling on northbound I-5 went off the roadway and struck a building in the Lathrop area. Police also received calls about shots fired in the area.
When CHP responded to the scene, they found that a semi truck struck two parked cars, then crashed into a building.
The driver of the truck suffered gunshot wounds.
CHP determined that the truck driver had been shot while driving.
The truck driver was transported to a hospital. It isn’t clear what condition he is currently in. The identity of the truck driver has not been released, but according to reports, he was a 37 year old resident of North Carolina.
There is currently no information available about the shooting suspect.

Amazon released a statement on the incident:
“Our thoughts are with the driver and his family, and we’ll continue cooperating with law enforcement as they investigate the incident.“
