The driver of a pickup truck is dead following a multi-vehicle crash on I-65 in Tennessee on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. on April 18 at mile marker 115 on I-65 near Cross Plains, Tennessee.

Pickup driver Bryant Freedle, 28, was stopped in the northbound lanes of I-65 behind two semi trucks. A third semi truck driven by 71 year old David Arnold was beginning to slow for the traffic when it was rear-ended by a fourth semi driven by Davina Luckett, 55, according to WSMV.

The rear-end crash resulted in Arnold’s truck driving over Freedle’s pickup, authorities say, which in turn caused the pickup to strike the semi truck in front, which caused that semi truck to rear-end the semi truck in front of it.

Freedle died as a result of the crash.

Luckett was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Luckett and Arnold may face charges pending the results of the investigation.
