A motorhome driver was hospitalized after attempting to pass a semi truck on the right in Utah on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened on July 5th at around 11:45 a.m. just north of Myton, Utah.

According to KSL TV 5, a tractor trailer hauling double tanks turned north onto 6250 South from US Highway 40 near milepost 106 when a motorhome started following behind it. At one point, the driver of the motorhome attempted to pass the truck driver on the right, just as the trucker was making a right turn. The motorhome then smacked into the side of the semi truck.

The trucker was unhurt in the incident, but the motorhome driver was transported to a nearby hospital by helicopter in serious condition. The incident is still under investigation. The tanker truck was empty at the time of the wreck.
