The truck driver killed by teenage robbers as they fled police during a chase has been identified. 

The incident occurred just after 5:30 a.m. in Lakewood, Washington on June 29th near Berkely Street Southwest and Thorne Lane. 

According to The Chronicle, the 16-year-old suspects were fleeing police in a stolen vehicle when they struck the semi truck. The force of the impact sent 57-year-old truck driver, Bohdan Vetrov, flying out of his truck and off of an overpass onto Interstate 5. 

Vetrov was transported to a hospital where he died of his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

One of the teenage suspects was charged with vehicular homicide and unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle. The other was charged with taking a motor vehicle without permission.
