An Indiana State Police Sargent took a moment to publicly thank a truck driver who assisted a broken down state trooper.
On Friday morning, Sgt. Todd Ringle-Indiana State Police Evansville District shared the story of Trooper Hadley’s encounter with a truck driver after having a tire go flat.
From Sgt. Ringle:
Last night, Trooper Hadley was on I-64 and driving back home from an honor guard detail when he encountered a flat tire. He pulled over onto the shoulder to start changing the flat. A passing truck driver named Guiva saw Trooper Hadley and pulled his truck over in front of his patrol car to help him out. Trooper Hadley was able to quickly get back on the road with his assistance. A second person also stopped right as they were finishing up and was nice enough to snap a couple pictures. We so much appreciate Guiva’s kindness and willingness to help one of our Troopers.
The post garnered dozens of comments from users who appreciate Guiva going out of his way to help.
“Thank you Mr. Guira. Your kindness means a lot,” one person commented.
“Awesome. This shows there are kind and helpful people in this world,” another user said.
“Thank you for helping the trooper good people do exist,” said another Facebook user.
