Arizona police are investigating a fatality incident involving a semi truck that occurred on Wednesday in a store parking lot.

The incident occurred in Buckeye, Arizona, around 9:30 a.m. on July 26, according to 3TV.

According to the outlet, a semi truck struck a man in his 70’s who was walking in the lot of a Fry’s grocery store.

Bystanders and police attempted to provide rescue aid to the man on the scene.

The Buckeye Police Department reports that the man did not survive.

Police say that the truck driver stayed at the scene. Drugs and alcohol are not thought to be a factor in the crash.

The cause of the fatal pedestrian crash is under investigation.

Buckeye Police are asking people to avoid the area.
