NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Mack Trucks announced that starting in late Q2 2025, fleets using its GuardDog Connect with Allison Transmission products will gain streamlined access to Allison action plans. These plans will be integrated into GuardDog’s existing communication channels — including the Mack OneCall customer support network and MVASIST, a web-based communications system.

The announcement was made during the 2025 Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition. Mack’s GuardDog Connect is a proactive diagnostic and repair planning offering that protects and maximizes customers’ uptime. It monitors a truck’s critical fault codes, which could lead to unplanned downtime.

Previously, customers would receive service alerts about their Allison transmission separately and then work with an Allison authorized service provider to determine the severity of the problem and the next steps. Now, OneCall agents at the Mack Uptime Center offer support to customers experiencing planned and unplanned service events, including scheduling service and repairs.

The new integration will provide customers with more insights about a vehicle’s transmission, including live updates on any trouble codes that appear; severity and operational impact of transmission issues; and recommendations on nearest authorized service locations.

“Mack’s goal is and always has been to offer solutions to make Mack easy to do business with,” Mack Trucks North America President Jonathan Randall said. “We continue to make advancements with GuardDog Connect, and we believe this partnership with Allison is just another example of Mack’s industry-leading uptime services and solutions.”

Marty Foulks, Mack connected vehicle product manager, noted the integration is intended to provide a more holistic view of the vehicle’s powertrain and simplify communication for customers, who no longer have to check multiple systems.

“The partnership was well-received by our customers, with most providing positive feedback and few issues during the rollout,” he said. “This is part of the Integrated Uptime subscription service, so there is no additional charge. The fleets with an existing Mack Integrated Uptime subscription and equipped with Allison transmissions will automatically be enrolled in the service and begin receiving the notifications.”

Foulks added that companies have developed a seamless vehicle analytics collaboration to make Mack GuardDog Connect applicable for Allison Transmission data.

Additional benefits of the integration include faster response and repair for transmission issues, better prioritization of repairs based on severity, and improved visibility and communication for fleet managers.
