Truck stop giant Pilot now offers B99 biodiesel for commercial trucking fleets at an Illinois location, with more locations coming soon.

On March 18, Pilot declared itself the “first travel center network to offer B99 biodiesel for fleets” as part of a partnership with PepsiCo, ADM, a global agricultural supply chain manager and processor, and Optimus Technologies, a fleet sustainability company.

Pilot says that B99 biodiesel is now available for purchase at the Decatur, Illinois, store located at 4030 East Boyd Road, and it will soon be available at the following locations:

  • Coming this spring to 11957 Douglas Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa
  • Coming this summer to 8787 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas

Biodiesel is made from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled grease and is offered as a low-carbon solution for long haul trucking fleets. B99 biodiesel is a high-level fuel blend containing up to 99.9% biodiesel and 0.1% petroleum diesel.

“We know how important sustainability is to our customers and strive to help meet these growing needs for more sustainable fuel options for commercial fleets,” said Eric Fobes, head of renewables at Pilot. “Introducing B99 at our travel centers is another way we support fleets committed to reducing carbon emissions. This collaboration with PepsiCo, ADM and Optimus Technologies exemplifies how partnerships can create impactful solutions.”

Founded in 1958, Pilot operates nearly 900 locations in 44 states and five Canadian provinces.
