A former truck driver and business partner to a former NFL linebacker allegedly drained their trucking company of resources by consistently transferring funds to himself.
Shaquille Dixon has been accused of diverting funds from the accounts of Good Run Logistics to his personal accounts from February 2023 through June 2024. Dixon allegedly drained the company of at least $500,000. The Charlotte, North Carolina trucking company was founded by ex-Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson.
According to Queen City News, Dixon was hired by Good Run Logistics due to his trucking experience, and was given access to the company’s bank accounts and financial records. He then used that information to transfer company funds to his own account under labels such as “owner draws” or “transfers to review” in an attempt to disguise the transactions.
Dixon allegedly acted as the owner of the company in several circumstances, and even convinced the company’s actual owner to add more money to the company’s accounts. This money eventually ended up in Dixon’s personal accounts, reported Fox 8.
Dixon is now federal wire fraud charges and was booked into the Gaston County Detention Center. He posted bond on March 10th.
