The Ontario Provincial Police are searching for the truck driver who used to own a mud flap now embedded in a van windshield.
The accident happened on March 14th, on westbound Highway 401 near Tremain Road in Milton, Ontario, Canada. As of March 21st, officers were still looking for the truck driver.
The mud flap flew off of a tractor trailer and into the windshield of a cargo van, where it was left embedded in the glass, but the van driver was not hurt.
“Are you missing a mud flap?” police asked in a social media post about the incident.
“This could have ended in tragedy for the driver of the van,” an OPP officer said to Insauga News. “You wouldn’t think a mud flap could do this type of damage but look what it did. Those inside the van were very lucky.”
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Mississauga OPP at 905-858-8670.
