BRW took a major step further into government and defense contracting by securing approval to handle more military freight, the company announced March 20.

The Oxford, Ala.-based integrated supply chain services company revealed that its trucking division received designation as a fully approved Department of Defense Transportation Service Provider. Its logistics division received designation as a DOD Freight Carrier by the Military Surface Deployment & Distribution Command. The company said this further solidified its position as a government and defense partner.

“Our commitment to excellence in defense transportation and logistics is unwavering,” said BRW CEO Nate Haney. “BRW remains the premier choice for the defense supply chain across the Southeast and beyond with extensive experience supporting the Defense Logistics Agency and strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement requirements.”
