A semi truck flipped off of an overpass and crushed a Camaro in South Texas on Monday night.
The accident happened on March 31st along the eastbound US 83 Relief Route connector between Peñitas and Palmview, Texas.
According to Valley Central, the semi truck lost control on the curved connector ramp and fell off the overpass. A Camaro was also involved. There are conflicting reports on whether the Camaro was pushed off of the overpass, or if the tractor trailer crushed it at the ground level.
Three people, including the truck driver, were taken to the hospital as a result of the crash, but no serious injuries were reported according to KRGV. The semi truck appeared to be hauling food products.
The crash damaged a section of guardrail, forcing the closure of the right shoulder along the connector. No further information has been released.
