A police officer took to social media to voice appreciation for the truck drivers that have ‘saved the day’ over the course of his career. 

“I want to recognize the people on the roadway I feel don’t get enough recognition,” he says in the video. ”And that’s our truck drivers.”  

“Not only do they work around the clock to get products from one state to the other to make sure this country operates the way it does,” he continues. 

“I wanna talk about at least three incidents I have been involved in where a truck driver has stepped in and saved the day… I’ve been involved in three different vehicle pursuits that have ended safely because a truck driver happened to be in front and blocked the pathway for the suspect vehicle so it no longer could go anywhere.” 

“Which means at the end of the day that everybody is safe. So I wanna give a shout out to all of our truck drivers. We don’t usually get a chance to thank them because we’re dealing with the suspect, but if you’re one of those truck drivers – Thank you. My hat’s off to you.”
