A man was arrested after launching an attack on a sleeping truck driver and assaulting responding police officers at a trucking company in Pennsylvania earlier this month.

The accident happened on April 2nd outside NVK Logistics on the 2800 block of Turnpike Industrial Drive in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

According to Fox 43, the truck driver was resting in the sleeper of his tractor trailer when 46-year-old Victor Campos stepped into his truck through the driver’s side door. Campos then jumped on top of the trucker and started punching him until the driver was finally able to push him away. The driver then called the police.

When officers arrived, they discovered Campos laying in the parking lot of the business “yelling incoherently” with blood around his mouth. When an officer tried to detain Campos, he got up and tried to attack her, but she knocked him off balance, and other officers were able to help restrain him.

When officers attempted to get Campos into the police car, he spat on at least one of them and struggled against the officers until he was finally forced into the vehicle. He then tried to kick another officer.

Campos is facing a felony count of attempted burglary, a felony count of assaulting a law enforcement officer, two felony counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, a felony count of criminal mischief, and a summary offense for harassment.
