Police in East Texas are asking the public for help in identifying a pickup passenger who threw an object at a trucker and left him with glass lodged in his eye.

The incident occurred on Friday, April 4th at around 1:30 p.m. on US Highway 96, ¾ of a mile south of Loop 500, just south of Center, Texas.

According to 9 ABC, a white pickup truck and a semi truck were passing each other when a passenger in the rear row of the pickup truck threw an object at the trucker. The object shattered the semi truck windshield, which left the trucker with cuts to his face and glass lodged in his eye.

The truck driver was able to safely pull over to the side of the roadway without further incident, despite the attack.

Now, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is requesting help from the public to identify the owner and passengers of the white pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office at 936-598-5601, or you can directly reach CID Investigator Cody Muse at 936-572-4252.
