The California Highway Patrol cited a driver after catching him in compromising position at a commercial vehicle enforcement facility in Lebec.

On April 16, CHP – Grapevine Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility took to social media with a reminder about choosing an appropriate spot for bathroom breaks after a driver was caught relieving himself at the facility located off I-5.

“This guy thought it was “all good” pulling into our facility and watering our trees. He was cited for the urination incident. He literally passed a major exit, the Tejon Outlets, just 2 miles before entering our facility. Our facility has restrooms too, all ya gotta do is ask,” CHP said.

While this driver may not have chosen the best place to go to the bathroom, lack of restroom access for truck drivers has been a serious problem for many years. The problem is so significant that a bill called the Trucker Bathroom Access Act (H.R. 3869) was introduced in the House of Representatives earlier this month. If passed, the bill would require that truck drivers be granted access to restroom facilities when delivering or picking up a load.
