Multiple law enforcement agencies partnered for a commercial vehicle inspection operation along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway last week.
The commercial vehicle inspection detail took place on April 22 and 23 along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway connecting Baltimore, Maryland, to the Washington, D.C. Metro area.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGCPD), 148 commercial vehicles were inspected during the operation.
A total of 650 violations were identified, according to police.
“Of these, 76% of the vehicles were placed out-of-service due to serious driver issues or critical vehicle defects,” PGCPD said.
United States Park Police (USPP), which also took part in the operation, additionally reported that 170 citations are issued and that the operation resulted in one arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
USPP reminds drivers that commercial vehicles are prohibited on all National Park Service roads in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
