Illinois Fire Marshals are investigating a structure fire that occurred at a Dolton trucking and warehouse business on Tuesday.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on April 29, firefighters responded to E Vett Trucking & Warehouse, a business located in the 1300 Block of East 142nd Street in Dolton, Illinois.

When crews arrived on scene, the building was engulfed in flames.

Multiple agencies responded to the three alarm fire, but the facility was destroyed.

No one was injured.

Dolton deputy fire chief John Calhoun told WGN9 that “the fire is suspicious in nature. We do have the fire marshal out here currently with our arson team.”

The outlet also reports that the business was raided in December 2024 by the Illinois Secretary of State police because vehicles parked on the property were allegedly connected to stolen auto investigations.
