Tesla is looking to hire more than 1000 new workers as the company tries to get their electric semi truck production up and running.

On Monday, April 28th, Tesla released a video announcing that electric semi truck production will begin by the end of 2025, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 electric semi trucks.

On Tuesday, April 29th, Business Insider reported that Tesla is looking to hire more than 1000 people as part of getting the electric semi truck production up and running.

The company first projected full scale production of the Tesla semi truck by 2019; then expected volume production in 2020; then hosted an electric semi release party in 2022, where they predicted producing 50,000 electric semi trucks by the end of 2024.
