The US House of Representatives voted to repeal the Environmental Protection Agency’s approval of zero emission heavy duty truck requirements in California.

The Advanced Clean Fleet Rule would have required the trucking industry to transition to zero-emissions vehicles by a certain date. On Wednesday, April 30th, the House voted to repeal this approval, reported KQED.

California already withdrew its request for a federal waiver requiring the transition to zero-emissions vehicles back in January

The House is also scheduled to vote on California’s plan to end the sale of gasoline powered vehicles in the state on Thursday, May 1st. That plan was set to phase out all gasoline powered vehicles by 2035, and was adopted by 11 other states.
