Troopers at a California Highway Patrol (CHP) checkpoint handed out several citations and out-of-service orders after conducting just a handful of commercial vehicle inspections.

A roadside inspection checkpoint was recently set up in San Benito County, California, after CHP received “numerous complaints from the community.”

The checkpoint was staffed by officers from CHP’s Gilroy Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility and Commercial Vehicle Inspection Specialists.
