A truck driver was indicted this week after getting into multiple altercations during her reckless driving while intoxicated last summer.

53-year-old Nele Thuning was indicted in Clarksburg, West Virginia on Tuesday, May 6th for her August 2024 reckless driving incident involving multiple altercations.

According to 12 WBOY, Thuning initially struck a vehicle on Interstate 79 and fled the scene before getting into “an altercation with a customer” at a gas station nearby. When confronted by police at the gas station, Thuning fled the scene in her semi truck, leading officers on a chase across multiple counties.

Thuning eventually came to a stop after driving over stop sticks deployed by police, which caused her semi truck to roll. Thuning then kicked out the window of her truck and engaged in a “struggle” with officers until she was eventually arrested.

After the police chase and multiple altercations, Thuning was incarcerated. This week, she was indicted on one count each of fleeing in a vehicle from law enforcement with reckless indifference, fleeing DUI, DUI with injury, operating a commercial vehicle while DUI, and leaving the scene.
