Five people were hospitalized after a tanker truck ended up buried in the side of a house after plowing through a business and an intersection.

The incident happened on Monday morning, May 12th just before 6:20 a.m. in Wellington, Utah.

According to KJZZ 14, a tanker truck loaded with crude oil was driving east on State Route 6 when it veered off of the roadway. The tanker truck then plowed through six vehicles parked at a repair shop and skidded through an intersection before hitting a utility pole, a fire hydrant, and a fence. The tanker truck then continued through an open field before slamming into the side of a house, where it became buried in the rubble.

An older couple asleep inside of the home was hit by the truck, while a 12-year-old boy sleeping in the front room was unhurt. Two people inside of the buried truck cab were also injured in the accident. All five people were transported to a hospital by ambulance.
