Three people are dead after a cross over crash involving six vehicles on Interstate 75 in Georgia on Tuesday morning.
The series of accidents happened on the morning of May 13th on I-75 in Gordon County, Georgia near mile marker 308.
According to News Channel 9, a tractor trailer on the northbound side of I-75 collided with a Hyundai Sonata, which sent the Sonata onto the shoulder and caused the tractor trailer to cross over into the southbound lanes. Once on the southbound side, the tractor trailer collided with two other semi trucks and two more passenger vehicles. One of the cars on the southbound side then caught fire.
A total of six vehicles were involved in the crash that sent two people to the hospital and left two people dead. Two other people involved in the crash were not hurt. The exact cause of the crash has not been released.
This crash happened not far from a Sunday afternoon crash involving seven vehicles that left two people dead. The truck driver in that crash is facing multiple charges.
