The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is investigating a commercial vehicle crash in Bryan County caused by brake failure.

The crash occurred on May 13 at US 70 and Silo Road in Bryan County, Oklahoma.

Troopers say that a commercial vehicle’s brakes failed while approaching a stop light.

The driver “took evasive action and swerved to the right, tipping the load of dirt and rocks onto another vehicle.”

The driver of the second vehicle was hospitalized with minor injuries.

“This is a prime example why Troop S (Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement) troopers are so diligent on inspections – to prevent situations like this one. Troop S was called out to do an inspection on this semi today,” OHP said.
