The search for a potentially missing truck driver was cancelled earlier this week after a review of the parked rig’s dash cam footage revealed the driver just left in a second vehicle.
The search for the potentially missing truck driver started on Tuesday morning, May 13th at a boat launch in Belmont County, Ohio.
According to WTRF, Natural Resources Officers with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources began searching for the truck driver after someone reported a semi truck parked at a boat launch at Barkcamp State Park.
The parked semi truck led officials to believe the truck driver had gone missing while enjoying outdoor recreation at the state park, and a search for the driver was conducted for several hours.
By 5:30 p.m. a dash cam footage review conducted by the trucking company showed that the truck driver had parked his rig at the boat launch and was soon picked up by another vehicle. The driver has since been contacted and located.
