The Arizona Highway Patrol recently conducted a single day commercial vehicle inspection detail.
The “Maximum Enforcement” commercial motor vehicle (CMV) inspection operation took place on May 21 in southern Arizona.
The CMV inspection effort was spearheaded by the Arizona Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol.
See below for results from the single day inspection effort:
- 74 CMV inspections
- 196 violations identified
- 9 CMV drivers & 25 CMVs placed out-of-service for major violations
- 7 school buses taken off the road for major safety violations
“Our School Bus Inspectors and Student Transportation Unit also audited school buses and drivers to ensure student safety remains a top priority. These efforts highlight our commitment to keeping Arizona roads and schoolchildren safe. Safety isn’t optional — it’s our mission. Drive safe, Arizona!” officials said.
