A bridge buckled in the Texas Panhandle after being struck by a semi truck hauling a crane on Tuesday morning.
The impact happened on Tuesday, May 27th at about 7:25 a.m. near Tulia, Texas.
According to ABC 7 Amarillo, the semi truck was hauling the crane on southbound Interstate 27 when it struck the FM 928 bridge over the interstate.
The bridge buckled with the force of the impact, knocking chunks of debris into the roadway and leaving a visible break.

Southbound I-27 is now closed at FM 928, and “the overpass will be closed for quite some time,” the Texas DPS wrote in a statement. Traffic is being diverted to the west service road at the exit before FM 928.
The bridge has a clearance of 16.5 feet. No further information has been released.
