The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) recently shared video of “one of the heaviest loads ever escorted” by their troopers, a turbine weighing more than 1 million pounds.

The video shared on May 28 shows OHP Troop S officers escorting a 1.1 million pound turbine from Perry to a new power plant west of Stillwater.

“It’s one of the heaviest loads ever escorted by our troopers. Their main function during the transport is making sure the motoring public is aware of what’s happening and ensuring their safety by directing them where to go as the oversize load passes. It was a successful transport spanning two days this week and the load made it safely to its destination without any incidents,” OHP said.
