Arizona officials held a single-day commercial vehicle enforcement effort this week to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
On Monday, June 9, 2025, officers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Highway Patrol conducted a detail targeting commercial vehicles in the southern portion of the state.

See below for highlights from the single-day operation from AZDPS:
- Inspections: 53
- Violations: 143
- Out-of-Service (drivers/vehicles): 12
- CMV Drivers Not Using Seatbelts: 2 Citations
- Fifth wheel locking pins not engaged = EXTREMELY DANGEROUS

“And remember — Controlled substances and alcohol possession in a CMV is strictly prohibited in the FMCSA regulations, no matter the amount!” officials said.
