A trucker in his late twenties was found dead inside of his truck cab at a travel plaza in Iowa earlier this month. 

The incident occurred on June 6th near Meskwaki Settlement, Iowa, but the press release was not issued until June 12th. 

According to the Meskwaki Nation Police Department, police were called to the Meskwaki Travel Plaza off Highway 30 on reports of an unresponsive man. Further investigation revealed a young trucker dead inside of his sleeper berth. 

The trucker was determined to be in his late twenties, and his body has been sent to the State Medical Examiners Office to determine a cause of death.

The trucker’s identity has not been released. Police say there is no evidence of foul play.
