It was initially reported that the truck driver was killed in the crash, but “remarkably, the driver sustained only minor injuries,” OHP said.

Following the crash Hernandez-Guzman fled on foot. Following a three-hour manhunt, he was located in a wooded area and taken into custody.

OHP says that Hernandez-Guzman was booked into the Craig County Jail on the following charges:

  • Leaving the scene of an injury crash
  • Reckless driving
  • Obstruction
  • Driving without a license
  • Failure to maintain insurance

The crash is under investigation.

“We’re grateful this crash did not result in any fatalities. We also want to thank the first responders and assisting agencies who helped manage this large and complex scene, which impacted both the Will Rogers Turnpike and State Highway 60,” said OHP.
