A motorist and Youtuber in a Ferrari F40 is asking for help in locating a tanker truck driver who sideswiped him over the weekend.
The $3 million supercar was being driven by a car enthusiast with a Youtube channel called Supercar Ron, with just over 96,000 followers.
According to the Instagram post about the accident, Supercar Ron was driving the car south on Interstate 15 near 1600 North on the border of Orem and Lindon, Utah just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th when the accident happened.
“…My Ferrari F40 was sideswiped by a semi truck pulling a large tanker…. The semi truck was a darker color, seemed newer, and very obviously knew that he had side swiped me,” the post reads.
“Unfortunately, due to the damage to the vehicle and the fact that the semi-truck essentially performed a PIT maneuver on me, I was focused on controlling the car and staying alive. As a result, I wasn’t able to get the name of the company on the side of the truck,” the post continues.
“We need help tracking this person down. Hit and run drivers need to be held responsible. If you know who this could be or were in the area southbound I-15 around 10 pm near north Orem or Lindon and have dash cam footage, please let me know if you have any video. Or any other surrounding business that have a view of South bound I-15 if you have security footage, please let us know. Reward offered if we can find who did this.”
A video of the call for help can be seen below, along with a tour of the car when the Youtuber purchased it back in November 2024.
