The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) recently sidelined a commercial truck and trailer after an inspection uncovered a host of safety violations.

According to a June 30, 2025, statement from THP, a Motor Carrier Plus trooper conducted a Level I inspection on a commercial vehicle.

The trooper discovered “leaking transmission fluid from unsecured cargo that was spilling onto the suspension and roadway.”

Additionally, the inspection revealed that “the trailer air bags were deflated, air lines were chafing, and the headlamps failed.”

As a result of the violations uncovered during the inspection, the truck and trailer were placed out-of-service.

THP shared photos of the violations discovered during the inspection.
