Iowa state troopers recently took a heavy equipment hauler off the road for load securement issues.

On July 1, 2025, the Iowa State Patrol (ISP) stopped a commercial vehicle hauling a John Deere skid loader and some gravel without any apparent load securement measures.

“Some vehicles just aren’t designed for certain types of cargo. On the other hand, when they are, we ask you secure it properly. Unfortunately, in this case from a traffic stop today, an out of service order was issued for both types of cargo not being secured. Be courteous of the motoring public and secure your cargo!” said ISP’s Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit.
